Thanks for the info. The download and installation went well for me.

Although I didn't see it mentioned prior to the download and installation, then by clicking Google Earth's Help/About, this new Google Earth version is a beta release:

5.2.1.1329 (beta)

I didn't catch it either until after the download.Don't usually download the beta version.Maybe it will be OK with no problems.
