Deleteing routes from the "My Data" file 765T

Good morning to all. I was experimenting with putting some routes together and was successful. That being said I want to delete these test routes from my 765T. Can't seem to be able to do it. I can delete these routes from the "Custom Routes" area but they remain in the "My Data" file. I connected my unit to my laptop and opened explorer but I cant find these files. I've opened every folder that there is but don't recognize anything. Can anyone offer some guidance. Thanking you in advance!

Select the route on the gps

Select the route on the gps you want to delete and use edit. You will see delete selection.Page 13 and 14 http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/2721_OwnersManual.pdf

Had The Same Problem..

In my Nuvi 500.

The only way I got rid of them was to do a "hard reset".

Also here is other advise I got from Garmin:
"Please do the master reset on your unit and then connect your nuvi to your computer and open the nuvi drive on your computer. Next open the Garmin folder and then the GPX folder. Delete any .gpx files you find. You may also see a GPX folder on this level and you can delete any .gpx files in that folder also."

This worked for me!

Been There

Thx for the tip but I've successfully deleted the routes from my custom routes file using the method you mention. I can't however delete the routes from the "import route from file" area.

See this post

See this post http://www.poi-factory.com/node/24782 I think this will take care of it.

One question

Does "mass storage mode" translate to open your unit with explorer?

Hook unit up to computer.Go

Hook unit up to computer.Go to the drive for the gps.Open Garmin folder then click on Gpx folder and you will see current.gpx.Delete any other files with the gpx extension. Current.gpx is a mirror of the favorites stored in your gps.Even if you delete it the favorites will not be lost.Once you boot up the current.gpx file will show again. When you send files like from Google, mapquest etc they have another file name with the gpx extension. They load to the current.gpx and the old file remains on some units. You can manually delete them from unit but unless removed from the drive itself they re-load to current.gpx again.

Note you can right click on the ones not current.gpx and open with notepad to get idea what they are.Or open with Extra Poi Editor.

When you connect unit to computer it goes into mass storage.
