Downloads to a Mac

I just registered and tried my first POI file download. Nothing! No matter what file I clicked on I got nothing at all. Could it be the browser I'm using or something else? I'm using OS X (10.4) Note: this isn't a problem of loading my GPS ( I've seen the various posting about Mac tools.) This is a problem actually downloading the files. Thanks.

2 ways

There are 2 different ways to move POI to your GPSr. First, use POI Loader from Garmin. This process will convert you files from either csv or gpx and install a single file, poi.gpi, in the POI folder on your GPSr. The second: is to use the MacTools. With this method you must manual copy the files to the POI folder on your GPSr. I prefer the second method! You have more flexibility over file names. If you attach your GPSr to your MAC via a USB cable it should be recognized immediately then either method should work correctly.

These files are really small and download really quickly. My Mac mini OS X 10.4 put the files on my desktop in a blink! Are you sure there not there?

Download to a Mac

Thanks to all. They were there after all. Using the Safari browser they are placed directly on the Desktop rather than in the Downloads folder to which I've assigned them. Don't ask me why, I'm just glad they're there. Now to try to load them into my Nuvi. Thanks again.
