Map data (nuvi 350)

 

hey look i really need help with this gps thing here. i can't see my map. it's saying something like no map data? how can i reinstall it again. i have a nuvi 350 gps garmin. please help me out.

The only sure solution to your problem is to buy a map update. If the unit is telling you no map data, one of two things is wrong. You either do not have any maps on the unit or the maps you have are not selected.

If it boots, touch tools, then look for the map icon. It will allow you to check if the maps are on the unit and the version. It probably wouldn't hurt for you to purchase an updated map and install it anyway.

On the 350, if it boots touch Settings - Map - Map Info. If City Navigator North America is listed, make sure there is a "tick mark" in the box beside the entry. If there isn't tap the box to place the tick mark there. You should be back in business then.

If the City Navigator entry is not there or is there but can't be ticked or is ticked then another alternative to buying a map update would be to contact Garmin support via phone or e-mail to see if they can assist.
