When Garmin sends out a map update, does it include updates to the built in POIs that come with the unit?

That's not to say that a newer map version's POIs are better or worse that the previous version, just, well, different.

when does Garmin send out a update? I just purchased a new 265WT and the map that I have is Version CN North American NT 2010.10. Then under that it has (1) All. What does that mean, and how or when do i get updates? Steve

You'll get one free map update from Garmin. Fortunately for you, 2011.10 is due any day now!
You'll need to register at the Garmin site to get it. But, wait until it's announced here to register. Just a thought.

Agree try and wait until the 2011.10 maps are released but be careful, you only have 60 days from the date that your Nuvi first obtained a satellite lock to get the update for free. Hopefully 2011 will be out before your 60 days is up but take 2010.40 if your coming up on the 60 days and the new maps aren't available yet.
(1) All means that your maps cover all of North America. Some Nuvi models have regional maps like lower 48 states only for example.
