Alerts - Gotta love hearing yourself

OK - more geekdom coming out. I just used a little program to record mp3 files from a mic plugged into the computer. I recorded warnings for speed traps, red lights and school zones and loaded through poi loader. I just tried it through the "simulutor" since it is a little late here. Worked perfectly for the speed traps and red light cameras. Maybe I should get my wife to record the warnings so it would be even more realistic - lol. I am sure I will tire quickly of hearing me through the 660.

Adding MP3 Files

That's great! Is it possible to add actual music the same way so I can give my NEWLY PURCHASED C340 more personality? I stress that it's newly purchased so your directions should be geared to the newbie.

I don't believe the c340 has mp3 capability.

I believe that mkahn is

I believe that mkahn is correct. I looked at the manual for the C340 and it does not seem to have a music player like the nuvi does.

The mp3 file I loaded was just a short speed and redlight camera warnings that are incorporated into the custom poi file that I uploaded. Sorry I couldn't help you.
