Garmin i3 does not switch on - please help!

Hi all

Last night I was updating my Garmin Streetpilot i3 via my USB but my 4 year old son decided to unplug it during the software update and now it doe snot switch on?

Any ideas please omn how to switch it on so that I can do something with it - many thanks all.

Have you tried to restart the update? I am certain that you will need to get a full install on the computer and it should undo a partial download if you redo it.

Question: What do I do if my GPS unit got disconnected during the firmware update?

Answer:

If the GPS unit was disconnected while doing a firmware/software update, the update can usually be run again without any issues.

To run your firmware update again:

Disconnect the GPS unit from the computer
Turn off the GPS unit
Turn the GPS unit back on and wait till the main startup screen appears
Reconnect the GPS unit to the computer
Run the firmware update again if using the manual update, or restart WebUpdater to update the firmware

If the GPS unit gives an 'error message' when turned back on, search for the error message by clicking the following link:

Why bother. Just buy a new Nuvi.

Tigerdirect has Nuvi 255 for only $90.
