Any New Garmin Nuvi's in 2010

New models

You can pretty well guarantee that there will be some types of new models in a 12 month period... If they did not do that, they would fall behind the competition.

New Garmin Nuvi's in 2010

There's many 1000's Models available, most of them are offered with lifetime traffic and lifetime map update

Lifetime maps

Lifetime map updates are available for all Nuvi's and are at a cost ($120US from Garmin, cheaper elsewhere). Won't find any with Lifetime Maps updates as part of the purchase price of the Nuvi.

Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.

That is generally true in Garmin's packaging, but lately some retailers have been bundling the lifetime maps with the nuvi. Here is one from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-1390T-Lifetime-Update-Bundle/dp...

Just wanted to add to what Alandb mentioned. Costco also has two units bundled with lifetime maps, a 255 for $150 and a 1390T for $300.

I'm not buying any more

I'm not buying any more Garmin unless they improve the options and included lifetime maps/traffic/weather update.

I guess you won't be buying

I guess you won't be buying ANY brand of GPS since I believe all units need an improvement with the several items that you mentioned.

I only hope that before

I only hope that before garmin release new model to the market they test them.

Personally I have owned

Personally I have owned Garmin for many years and most of the new models are getting worse in regards to errors and problems.

have you seen the next GPS tech?

I sure hope so. I am personally hoping they will release a 5 inch Nuvi with Nulink.

Agree. The best one is Nuvi 660.

If Ipod touch can have it, why not your gps that could be handy when you are in a WiFi hotspot.

Nuvi 1690

Have a look at the Nuvi 1690 on Garmins web site. Pity it only works in the USA

wifi

I support adding wifi... having a better touch screen, (one that works similar to the 750 series would be nice). The only thing I hate from my 755 is the unreliability of the touch screen.

I agreee with that---totally !

I think most people would

I think most people would have to agree with that statement. You have to wonder what Garmin engineering is spending their time on, since it isn't in producing new units or fixing or improving the old ones.

I have had my 760 for 2 yrs

I have had my 760 for 2 yrs now. Still working fine, thank goodness. With all the other issues, makes me want to think twice about getting a new one. However, all manufacturers have their ups and downs. I still rely on Garmin for now.

2010 Garmin Models

Most New Garmin products sold at Costco, have Free life time map update and free Traffic..

That's what I have been saying, and people that don't know any better are the first to come to Gaemin's side.
They are beginning to sell junk! In both software and hardware. Heck at one time it was an American company.

Too expensive

With full service (which you probably need for the good/useful stuff anyway) at $60/month for the first 120 days? Then how much per month...how long is the contract??? Uh, no thanks...

I saw the 1690 at CES and

I saw the 1690 at CES and really liked the new features and have been thinking of getting one since my contract for MSN has now expired for my 880 and was wondering how the new Garmin nuLink services were working for those who have already purchased the 1690's

Ecoroute HD

According to Garmin's web site the Ecoroute HD unit must be shipping now. Has anyone tried this?

Your link

Your link would indicate that the unit will not ship for 5 to 8 weeks.

Since Garmin has proved time and time again that it's customers are it's beta testers...

Well don't hold your breath!
