GPS Utility

edit- I forgot about this. Also have never used it for shp files, but it might work as well or better for you (it's totally freeware).

GPS Utility is supposed to convert shp files but I've never tried it.

Web site says the freeware version "is limited to 100 waypoints, 5 routes of up to 10 waypoints each, 500 trackpoints, bitmap image size of 2000x2000 pixels."

gps2cad

This software may do what you want, but it is not free. They have a 30 day free trial. (get-r-done fast)
