Can someone fill me in on the codes following red light alerts? I guess the .01 represents the distance away but letters like ZSW and ZKT mean nothing to me. I am also confused as to why the alert repeats itself. Does the second warning indicate you are beyond the camera? Do the alerts sound even if the camera is on the other side of the street? I own a gamin 660 if that is of any help. Thanks Bob
Code
The code is explained here:
Tampa, FL - Garmin nüvi 660 (Software Ver 4.90), 2021.20 CN NA NT maps | Magellan Meridian Gold
Red Light Alerts
Miss Poi uses a letter and number code to identify each red light POI, but it has nothing to do with the proximity to the POI.
If you use PoiLoader in automatic mode, a proximity alert happens too far away from the camera, in my opinion. Even worse, you get multiple alerts that make you think the camera is a block or two blocks before its real location. I use PoiLoader in manual, and it permits me to enter a 500 foot proximity. That way I get one alert 500 feet away and one about 120 feet away. That is okay if the speed limit is about 40.
Camera Codes
Thanks for the reply and information... My wife thanks you also
Codes still confuse me.
I'm still confused about the codes. They are unique identifiers. That is obvious, but I still don't know what they mean. I doubt that they are random, but I can't decipher how they are generated.

Don't worry about it

The codes are generated by the database program Miss POI uses for the camera files. That much she has stated. Just because it has a record identifier doesn't mean you need to know how it's cataloged in her database.
If you give her just the code and the correction, she doesn't need any more data to fix the record.

POI Location vs. Actual Camera Location
A red light camera location is entered into the database using the coordinates near the center of the intersection. It doesn't matter whether there is a camera on one, two, or more streets. They are constantly adding or changing cameras, anyway.
The alert is given when you are within the proximity distance you entered when using PoiLoader manually. If you use a short distance like 500 feet, the alert will sound twice. That's what I do. If you use PoiLoader automatically it will default to 1320 feet and sound four times - this is too confusing for me.
