Nuvi 855 - Test Pages

I connected the Unit, currently completed up-to-date with firmware etc, to a AC Source, then hit the following options:
From the Map menu
Hit the "Driving" or "arrival" beside the MENU.
HOLD the km/h or mp/h speedometer for about 10 seconds
I am not sure what to do with this but anyways, it seems to give a lot of info.

New menu items.
Perdom, did you notice that after you do that once, you get a couple of new items on the Tools menu ... USB Switcher and Test. The USB switcher lets you specify whether you want the nuvi in Mass Storage mode or Ethernet mode (navigation) when connected. The new items seem to stay there until you do a power reset (remove battery or hold power switch for 10 seconds).

Going to the test pages
Going to the test pages allow you to switch from Mass Storage Mode to Ethernet Mode (USB Switcher). This allows you to connect to PC and use 855 in the Full User Mode instead of Mass Storage.

Making The Nuvi 8xx Series Speak on Demand via Test Pages.
Has anyone been able to get the "Play Phrase" feature to work? It is located on the second "Test Pages", under the "Audio" button (on the "Audio Test Page" screen). This test feature is evidently supposed to be able to command the nuvi to manually speak any of the canned phrases, using any of the nuvi voices, but can't get it to work. The "Up" & "Down" buttons on the right side of the screen lets you change the "Current Phrase". Everything else on the "Audio Test Page" works, but the "Play Phrase" button.
