bean bag mount and 1490T

Can someone tell if my old bean bag mount will fit the new 1490T or 1390T?..They both have the ball and socket joint like the older nuvi 6XXs

That would be the sure-fire way to know if it does or not.

Been Using

Been using the Garmin beanbag mount that I bought for my 780 with my 1490 for a month now and it works very well.

I did try one of the cheaper universal beanbags you can buy over the internet or at some big box stores and had to return it as the 'beanbag' part is to high and rigit for the big 5" screen 1490 to fit properly. These things may work fine for the 4.3" screens but not the larger ones like the 1xxx series.

You do need to use the device holder piece of the windshield mount from the 1xxx models on the end of the 'ball' piece to hold the GPS properly.

Bean Bag Mount and 1490T

The Bean Bag Mount is a generic mount that should work on all Garmins...It works with my 1490T

The old bean bag mount will fit the new 1490T or 1390T?... They both have the ball and socket joint like the older nuvi. I've switched from my Nuvi 360 to the Nuvi 1490T..... I love it!!

Yes, I have my 1490T on my bean bag mount..and it works great!

1490t Mounting

I have a nuvi 1490t I got a mount from Gilson that is made from the same material as the disk it was a little bigger and square.
My Park ave ashtray flips down real nice I kept looking at it when I opened it and thought gee I wish I could put it there.
I bought the mount and it came with adhesive strips i placed the adhesive strips on to the metal ashtray that you pop out and empty. And then the windshield mount to that looks almost built in!
