Memory Capacity of Garmin StreetPilot 2730

I have a Garmin StreetPilot 2730 and I have several questions:
-how many favorites can I store (one place listed 500, another place listed 2000 does anyone know for certain)
-how many Cutom POIs can I store
-is there a way to see how much memory I have left

500 favorites (I think that is pretty standard across the board)
My SD card can hold 2GBs, + 7MBs internal
When I plug the garmin in, it shows in windows explorer as "Mass Storage Device" and you right click and see how much you have left.

Not sure how many Custom POIs, but when you have it hooked up to your PC, go to My Computer, right click on the GARMIN drive and select Properties.

Documentation for most units states that you can have up to 500 locations stored in your "Favorites"
Not sure about the 2000 number you stated, check your specific manual.
Custom POI's you can have as many as your memory source can hold.
