Garmin 250W "Broken Record" Continual Repeat of "Trun Left"

This has happened to me several times since I bought my Garmin 250W serveral years ago.

For no reason I can determine, the voice instructions will become "stuck" and repeat an instruction continuously such as "TurnLeftTurnLeftTurnLeftTurnLeft..."

All I can do is to mute the darn thing, but after a bit, I can unmute, and all is once again fine.

Anyone have any clues as to what this might be?

have you done any updates?

Have you done any updates to the unit or voices? That's one of the first things I would check. Following this, I would do a hard reset on the unit.

There is a simple fix for that constant 'turn left' issue.

Darn. Actually, I'm not that interested in a no-left-turn GPS, but I would gladly pay a bit more for a no-left-turn-onto-a-busy-street-except-from-a-stoplight GPS! I go well out of my way to avoid making left turns from stop signs onto even moderately busy streets.

You must have set the GPS to NASCAR mode. Suggestion, send it to Dale Jr. maybe it'd help him.

Cheers wink

I think you might have the "Wife-English" voice selected. Switch back to Jill if you want some peace while you're driving.
