download to S&T 2009

I have tried to 'download rest area combined' to S&T but it will not open indicating there is a problem. I noticed that the file extension on my computer shows it with a .csv. extension .. would that second period be causing my problem?
I am new to this site and POI's in general and would like to offer thanks to all those who have taken the time to put together this wealth of information.

Import Data Wizard

Are you using the Import Data Wizard?

I have Streets and Trips 2007, and have not had major problems importing CSV files. The only spot I have had trouble with is setting the Data Types for the various columns in the source files. Some POI files contain additional data in the fourth column and this can screw up the import function - especially if there are commas in the "description" column.

Re: download to S&T 2009

Yes! 2 periods (dots) can cause a problem.

Two periods

Ditto on the two periods. Using a period after .csv will cause a problem. Do not use a period after file extensions.
