My first Garmin question. LOL!

Is there a way to permanently set the initial viewing height on the 775T to around 300 ft? .2 miles is a bit much for my use as I would like a bit more detail on start-up.

BTW, thanks to Gary H. for his great site on the Garmins!

Hi juggernaut,

If I understand what you're asking...

You set the amount of "detail" displayed on the map, in the "map settings". As far as the "distance", there is no option for "setting a distance". Just use the "plus" and "minus" icon's, on the map screen.

I didn't think there was, as I couldn't find it. But, I was hoping for a trick to set it.
