Version 2.10 ???

If this is your firmware version? The C340 lastest version is 3.90 as of March 20, 2007 and you can use the WebUpdater located on the Garmin Website to update your firmware.

If the DVD is labeled StreetPilot C340 City Navigator North America NT v8 and the maps in your C340 are version 7 or earlier. Then you can use the DVD to update the maps and data to the current release. (Else the DVD is a copy of the version 8 loaded in your C340).

I personally haven't done an update. My Nuvi came preloaded with the lastest releases.
In updating the maps, if you have a previous MapInstall version loaded on your PC. I don't know if you have to de-install it before installing the new version.

Thanks for the info. How can I find out what version is in my c340? I have had my c340 since 3/1/07.

Click wrench-Map-Map info.There it will tell you what map version you have. I'm guessing, but I believe you would have version 7.

Also, to find your firmware version (as opposed to your maps version), click the wrench, then click system, and click About.
