Number of favorites for 265wt

I have been looking to purchase a GPS unit and in particular, the Garmin Nuvi 755T. Recently, I was able to borrow a 255T from a friend and really like the simplicity of the interface. However, one feature that I wished I had available on my trip was the ability to do multiple point planning, thus the desire for the 755T.
With the seemingly ongoing firmware/software issues for the 7x5 line, I’m a little concerned about making the purchase. As I’ve never seen/used the Lane Assignment feature, I don’t know how much I’d miss it if I instead purchased a 265WT.
This all leads to my question. How many favorites can be stored in the 265WT?
I realize inputting favorites as via points to my destination is not as clean a process as planning a multi point trip, but I can’t help but be a little concerned about purchasing a 7x5 series unit. Perhaps there’s a better way to simulate multi point input?

The 265WT supports 1000 favorites.

When you select end destination and even though the manual states only one via point.Users have found that it will support more then one via point.The work around I use are custom pois for a trip plus the 2x5 units also have the categories feature for favorites like custom pois.For example a trip I have planned for Utah I have a favorite marked as Utah trip and inside that have all the locations I plan to visit.They will all show as closest distance so I just plan to go down the list.Of course none of this can beat route planning feature.

Thank you for the responses. Despite my fears, I think I'll purchase the 755T. The additional features would better fit how I would most use a GPS.
I will be taking a trip to the Pacific Nortwest in a couple of weeks to do college visits and having a GPS will make navigation much easier.
