USA 760 traveling to Europe

I live in the USA and was going to take my Nuvi 760 with me to Switzerland and then to Italy. Does anyone know if the electrical connection from the USA will work in the European cars or do I need some kind of an adapter? Also, do the European Maps contain accurate and understandable directions both for points of interest and for driving? Thanks in advance.

OK

All standard automotive electrical systems are 12 volt. So you are ok. All computer USB connections are 5 volt. So you are ok. Standard home outlets over there are dangerous so don't put any metal objects into them.
