POI factory vs Escort

They most likely download it from here and then, they may put out an update every 6 months to a year.

I second that theory.

Because POI Factory has so many users, whenever a new red light or other "safety" camera crops up, users let Miss POI know and the file is updated PDQ. The data is never more than perhaps a day or two old, so in answer to the opening question, the data here on POI Factory is probably the most reliable and up to date.

Most probably the best database is here and it is updated every week. I have seen brand new cameras and even one being installed. By the time I check the file, they have already been added.

I think Escort updates their camera database weekly
but I don't know where they get their information from...

NAVTEQ has started incorporating red light cams into it's database.

They're a well established GPS map and POI company... I suspect that Passport buys the info from them.

But, I have no idea where NAVTEQ gets its information from.

I know it changes often but
how many camera's are in the POI Factory file?

My brother has a Escort and it's better than POI base systems. But you only get 6 months of subscription after that u have to pay for updates.
