POI File Extenders

I have a nuvi 350 and a Garmin POI loader. With them, I've been able to install POI files with .csv and .gpx extenders but not with .gpi extenders which came from Garmin. I don't understand...?!

POI Loader compiles POI files with csv and gpx extensions into a single POI.gpi file that it places on the GPS, in the \Garmin\POI folder. POI loader isn't needed for a gpi file -- all you need do is copy it to the \Garmin\POI folder on the unit (or card).
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
