Clear Sky

Do you have a clear sky or are you someplace that has tress or buildings that could be blocking?

You can walk a horse to water, but a pencil has to be led.

You don't give much information here. Is the unit plugged in? What kind of GPS are you talking about? Where is it located? How long does it take to locate the satellite?

If you goggle GPS, you can get a lot of information about how GPS units work. Maybe you can learn enough to solve your problem.

sunspots

Read in the paper the other day that we are going to be experiencing a high incidence of sunspots, which will play havoc with gps's, satellite radios such as XM, etc.

Might just have to grin and bear the delay and interuptions because there is nothing we (or Garmin) can do about it.

Garmin 205, 260W, 1450LMT, 2460LMT, HEREwego for iPhone ... all still mapping strong.

don't hold your breath on those sunspots...

...as the cycle isn't likely to peak for a few more years...
