Can not find location, no roads

I am a real greenie. Sorry.
I have a garmin nuvi 200. I have the coordinates where I want to go. when I enter them it says there are no roads. That is true, there are no roads. They are coordinates for property markers for a new subdivision. How do I locate the cordinates? Any ideas what I need to do?
Thank you.

does your 200 offer an Off Road mode?

sorry if I am way off base with the suggestion

I'm not certain what you are trying to do. If it is look at the property on a map, use Google Earth. You can "fly" to the coordinates and see what it looks like on one of their sat images as well as display any nearby roads.

no roads

I went to google earth, got the coordinates and now want to physically drive there using my nuvi 200 gps. But the gps says no roads unable to find destination.

no roads

I don't know that, I will have to try to find out. Thank you

OK - What does Google Earth show?

Does Google Earth show any roads in the area? If you are using a Nuvi 200, the latest maps for it are probably the 2009 edition. If Google shows roads, try routing to one of the nearby roads and then punt from there.

I'm curious. How far is your coordinate from the nearest road? I did something like that once and it routed me as close as it could and then put a straight line from there to the coordinate. I think it was maybe 1/4 mile from the road.

glad I could help

nearby

Since I do some fishing on some off road areas, I run into this as well. This is usually when I enter my custom POI using the nearest found road/location and go from there. I usually enter it as "Duck Pond turn" and head in the direction it suggests.
