Using a larger carrying case?

Just from the look of it, it seems a lot like a camera bag. You might wanna check a local store for one and see if you can get it for cheaper and without paying shipping.. Seems a bit pricey to me for a carrying case for a GPS.

I will take a look locally for something along those lines.

i found one at walmart holds everything including beanbag mount.

I just use a fanny pack. It holds my Nuvi 350. Charger and windshield mount.

I use one of the free drink coolers I got at a baseball game. I think it is less enticing than a similar bag with "Garmin" on it.

And if you want added protection for the unit itself, you can always pick up a $10 hard drive case at a computer store. They are about the right size for a gps, and then you can throw it in the cheaper soft side cooler or camera case with the mouont and not worry about damage.

Don't forget to put it in a Faraday cage with a braided cable connected to a 6ft grounding rod.

I prefer a smaller case.
