GPS Warn

Will it work on a Garmin C550 or only the gps's listed? I get a different warning on my C550.

It allows you to replace your splash page with any picture the same size. You could print out your owner info in any kind of format, then make a jpeg of it using any of the snapshot utilities. (like snagit). you can then replace the Garmin boot up page with your own jpeg. Mine has my name & picture of the car. I use it on my SP 7200, but it works on a whole bunch of Garmins.

Will that work on my StreetPilot i3. I don't want to mess up anything.

While I love the ability to change my splash page, it would be nice to be able to change out the warning page, also. I am tired of see the warning page every time I turn on the unit.

Can someone with a bit of knowledge here tell us if this will work on our units and if so, which ones?

I used Ximage and got my splash page just fine. Then I added some text to it and notice it changed size. Well, that is where the problem has come in. Try as I might, I can not find an easy way to get the size back to where it was so I can put it back into my C340. Any quick fixes for re-sizing?

The splash screen is a bmp file that is 320 pixels wide and 240 pixels high. Any custom screens should be created with those dimensions and in a bmp format. I used Photoshop to create my own custom screen and had no problem with screen size changes. I should warn that those dimensions were for my C340 so if other units have different sizes you should check the original first. I downloaded the original splash using XImage and then looked at its properties before starting my own.
