I live in Toronto Canada. Whenever I am driving on 401 in Toronto area, my Nuvi 760 can not determine if I am in express lanes or collectors when I have selected a route. Sometimes as per GPS route I should be in collectors but I go into express lanes. But my 760 can not figure it out that I am in express lanes. My old C330 figures it out very fast that I switched to differnt lanes.
Has anyone has the same experience in GTA with 760?
I will appreciate your feedback.
Have you
Have you upgraded you firmware to 4.60 yet if not you might want to do that,,if you have might look at were it set in you vehicle sometimes that can make a diff,,,or get an external antenna. Good luck

I live in New York and when I travel on the Long Island Expressway or I78 the 760 can't tell if im on a local lane or express lane.
I get the same thing in
I get the same thing in Cleveland with my nuvi 760. It frequently can't tell if I'm on the local or express lanes of I-271.
The 760 is not WAAS-enabled, correct? Would a WAAS enabled GPSr be more likely to detect the proper lanes like this?

This is from Wikipedia:
Accuracy
The WAAS specification requires it to provide a position accuracy of 7.6 meters or better (for both lateral and vertical measurements), at least 95% of the time.[2] Actual performance measurements of system at specific locations have shown it typically provides better than 1.0 meters laterally and 1.5 meters vertically throughout most of the contiguous United States and large parts of Canada and Alaska.[3] With these results, WAAS is capable of achieving the required Category I precision approach accuracy of 16 m laterally and 4.0 m vertically.[4]
Practically speaking, unless you are about 3,000 feet (1 kM) above ground level, WAAS is not a lot of help in refining the signal from the GPS satellites.

Yes, you are right. My old
Yes, you are right. My old C330 is WAAS enabled and detects lanes very fast but 760 will not know if I am driving in express or collector lanes for long time.
