Question about National Parks POI.

I downloaded this POI file and it seems that some local National Recreatioanl Areas that are part or the NPS are not on there.

Is this because they are not officially parks?

Thanks!

It's a good thing that there's GPS systems or I would be ... always lost!

.

Can you list some examples of parks that aren't in the file? Then we can try to figure out their status.

Here's two that I saw weren't in it.

Gateway National Recreational Area - There's a few entrances to this. Jamaca Bay, Queens NY; Great Kills Harbor, Staten Island, NY and Altantic Highlands, NJ (beach area) that I am aware of, there may be more.

The other is the Deleware Water Gap National Recreation Area on the NJ/PA border.

Believe me I am not complaining since I looked into these files and it really seems like A LOT of work!

Oh, I didn't think that you were complaining. I just wanted to check the locations because sometimes people think a park is a NPS park when it's something else.

Gateway National Recreation Area shows up the National Recreation Area file.

Did you download that one or just the National Parks one?

Thanks!

I downloaded the Nation Parks and Monuments.

Sorry about that! I didn't know (or think) that there were seperate files. I'll download that file as well.

Excellent. No problem. Glad you were able to get it sorted out.
