Remove tabs

Been playing around with taking the tracks/trail from my Garmin 750, then opening that file in google earth to see my path. Found at least two ways to do it. If I delete routes and favorites, then grab the current.gpx it works. But if I connect the 750 to Mapsource to use it to pull the file tracks from 750 to PC it doesn't work. Played around and what it looks like to me is when I use Mapsource, it puts a bunch of tabs in the file. So when I open that file with google earth nothing happens. Made a small file, then removed all the tabs and I was able to open it with GE. Ok if the tracks are small but I know the file will be huge. Is there a config change to Mapsource to remove the tabs or do I have to go with the other way I did it.

I hope I understand your question

I hope I understand your question. If I do, then I think you can get what you want just by going to the "View" menu in Mapsource and selecting "View in Google Earth". No file conversion required.

"View in Google Earth"

Yeah, found that after I posted the question. I played around with it again today and it doesn't seem to matter the tabs are in there. I created a track, pulled it out and opened it with GE without any changes. I must have modified the file when I posted the question.

I like to fish so I capture the tracks for the day, as I catch a fish I set a waypoint. When I get home I've been taking the file of the tracks, putting in the waypoints for the fish I caught in the same file. When I open it with GE I have a record of where I was that day and where I caught the fish. I can send the gpx file to my friends to show them where I was that day and where I caught the fish. Pretty cool stuff.
