Do you need both MSN Direct and Reatl Time Traffic Alerts?

I am thinking of buying Nuvi 765T in the near future. It comes with free Realtime Traffic alerts and optional MSN Direct. Which I think is that I have to buy subscription from MSN Direct.
Do I really need both or Traffic alerts are good enough. Though MSN has extra bells and whistles.
I will appreciate your advice.
PS: I live in Greater Toronto area in Canada.
I have both but....
I have both but in my area the fm traffic seems to be more detailed and timely.
I however, hate the ads!!!!!!!!!
So I am ditching the FM!!!!!
