What I meant was, when the battery starts decreasing in power, the warning screen comes up about every 30 seconds and more often as power decreases, I would like it to give me a warning like once or twice rite before the unit actually shuts down! It's annoying when your in rout mode!

Mine only came up once, but I was stationary.
Maybe when you are moving it gives you more warnings, so you can do something about it before getting lost. When I tested my 750 battery life with satellites locked, but stationary, it only gave me one Low Battery warning about 30 minutes (at 50% screen brightness) before it blacked out (nuvi 750 software 4.20).
