How to save trip log?

Hello,,,
How can i save trip log to route?
I found 4 tracks log when i retrieves them by mapsource but cant find them in Nuvi pages!

What are Nuvi pages?

I'm not sure what you mean by "Nuvi pages". Do you mean you cannot find them on the Nuvi itself? On the 760 you can turn Display Tracks on or off and they will show on the map. There is an option to clear the track logs. Other than that, there is nothing to do with tracks on the Nuvi itself. You can import the track logs into MapSource and manipulate them there.

If you've transfered a trip log from your Nuvi into mapsource - save several of the 'breadcrumb' points of the trip log as waypoints, then make a route with those waypoints - and save that route.

First I'm sorry my English not that good enough to explain my point smile

My point is if i clear trip log
then drive from area to another
let's say (A) to (B) How can i save this log or tracks as route to use it as needed.

I know i can transfer it in mapsource but i wish i can do this in unit its self without naosource

thanks guys for help

You Can't

You can't manipulate or use the trip log in the Nuvi itself. The only thing you can do is view the trip log on the Nuvi.

You have to transfer the trip log data to Mapsource in order to create a route.

Thanks

I wish garmin can add this feature in next update

.

I wouldn't count on it. There aren't very many auto units that have the ability to work with tracks on the unit itself. Sorry.

Is that all you can do?

Keith, like the OP I imported a track log into MapSource and wanted to turn it into a route. I couldn't find a way to do it. It never occured to me to click on the junctions and make waypoints out of them and then create a route from scratch using those waypoints. Is that the only way it can be done?

.

Yes, it's the only way in MapSource.

MapSource does not have any functionality current to convert a track into route automatically.

RoadTrip on the Mac works the same way.
