"Map Info" is grayed out on my nuvi 650 after updating to 2009 North America Map

Hello all,
I tried to update my Garmin Nuvi 650 with the 2009 North America Map and now my "Map info" is grayed out. When I'm driving, most of the time the unit does not display the name of the local roads. It only displays major interstate or highways.
Has anyone here seen this? What did I do wrong and how can I fix this?

Did the update program indicate that it ran successfully?
Did you unlock the maps on the unit?
Can you confirm that detail map file is on the unit? The file is named gmapprom.img and should be around 1GB (or so).
Did you back up your unit before you ran the update?
Did you try running the update a second time?

All that you have is your base map. How did you do this update?
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

I download the update through Garmin website (after registration)
Run the update on my PC with my unit connected via USB.

On your my.Garmin.com site under Manage Maps, there is an unlock code. You need to unlock the maps with the code.
