Loadede POI files on my Nuvi 350. Now what?

I recently purchased a Nuvi 350 and updated the 2009 map and loaded some POI files (Like National Parks). Because I'm a newbie and haven't yet taken a trip in my camper with the GPS, I don't quite understand how the files function. I know how to view the Poi files on my unit, but I was just wondering how to operate them during a trip. If I select the National Park POI on my GPS for example, will my 350 automatically display a national park when I'm within a certain range of it? This is probably a silly question, but if someone would explain how to activate and use POI files, I'd appreciate it. Thanks a bunch!

Custom POI files will show up when it is in your favorites. After loading the poi file you can choose the poi and save it in your favorites. When you are within the vicinity of the poi it will show up on the GPSr screen if map is zoomed to about 300ft.

The poi files you downloaded will show under your custom pois.You stated you know how to view them so like the National Park file.Go to it and touch National Parks and it will show the closest 50 to you at what ever location you are at the time.Just touch go and it will give you the directions on getting there.If you stop on the way and turn if off and start again it will continue giving you the directions until you arrive at the location or go to menu and touch stop.
