Playing with SD card and Custom POIs continues....

Used POILoader and put my custom POIs on the same SD card where I had already copied the 2008 maps. (I have another post that described that process using some great instructions from another thread). POILoader did not overwrite the entire garmin folder. Does anyone know if the POI Loader simply overwrites the poi.gpi file on the SD card? If so, I assume the only reason the POILoader has the "remove all custom POI's from your device" selection is to provide a way to delete the poi.gpi file if you place it in the GPS, right? Sorry if this is already well known....I'm just learning some of the details about the new 260 smile

POI Loader......

The remove all POIs only applies to custom POI files that you create and save to the GPS. It does nothing to the SD card. If you run POI Loader and save the file to the same folder on an SD that you previously used for a custom POI, POI Loader replaces that file with the new file. POI Loader has no effect on POI files on SD cards in folders different from the one you are currently writing to. ( A preposition is a bad thing to end a sentence with. :>)
