POI in red light alert

Is there any reason I can't put trip POI's in the red light alert and get an alert when I'm near a POI? I'm taking a trip to the CAD Rockies and don't want to miss the scenic wonders when I'm off the beaten path.

Yes, you can add an alert to any custom POI, These would be proximity alerts for what you want.
