There have been a couple postings where forum members have posted the current gas prices in their localities; this is not what this post is about.
Only you know your personal finances, how much is you income, and the expenses you have.
With the price of gas and diesel going up what will you curtail in your daily life to keep the budget in line?
Every one here (except the millionaire members) has a limit of what they can afford.
It will be interesting to know is, at what price of gas/diesel will you throw the GPSr in a a drawer and park the car for good and look for another method of transportation?
At what price driving becomes a luxury instead of a necessity?
The Amish must be laughing their "donkey's" off at us.

Gas Prices
We bought a Prius more than 2 years ago - traded in a GMC Pickup truck. Gas was about 2.20 back then but we both knew it was only get more expensive. With 6 kids we still have to have a second, family vehicle but we use the Prius as much as possible, and put 9,000 miles on it locally per year. The only way to get people to conserve/recycle/save is to "force" them to - by price, by law, by need. Seatbelts are a good example - all cars have had them but it took a law (and fine) to convince people they should use them. We're waiting for an eight passanger Hybrid (or Hyrogen powered) but until them we drive the heck out our Prius.
Great point of reference!
I hadn't thought of that, but its so true! My husband still smokes and I can't believe how much he pays for cigarettes. I am sure most people (my family included) have started cutting back somewhere to make up for the gas prices. This year for vacation, we left the pop up sitting in the yard and tent camped to save on fuel costs. Now, if I could get my hubby to give up smoking, we might be able to afford a little bit more of that overpriced gas!!!
