do you have to pay in order to use the google map to garmin gps feature ? thanks glenn
No, you just have to download the Garmin Communicator plug-in from Garmin's website and install it on your computer.
I can't find the plug-in on Garmins web site. Would you be so kind as to provide a link to it?
Here is the link
And be sure that your GPS unit is connected to your computer so that the communication can be tested.
I couldn't get the test to recognize the communicator plug-in when I downloaded it using explorer ver 7.
I then downloaded communicator using the firefox browser and rebooted my computer. I returned to Garmin's communicator test and it worked fine.
Garmin support verified that they were having problems getting explorer ver 7 to recognize the plug-in.
I never use IE unless I absolutely have to.
Same here. And I'm finding I use it less and less...other than the Exchange server/outlook web access for work, I have very little use for IE.
I use it all the time and rarely have issues. Actually out webbased software at work, works much better in IE then any other browswer.
Thanks for the help. I'm a done deal!
