External microphone ...

Hi. I'm a new user and this is my first post. I recently replaced my stolen Magellan with a Garmin nuvi 760. I love it. I've downloaded some POI files and got them working.
My question is about the optional external microphone. Before I purchase one I want to know how it connects to my 760. I'm using a cassette adapter to connect to my car stereo and I don't want to give that up if the mocrophone plugs into the same spot. Can anyone tell me how it connects? Thanks!

Look on the 760 cradle
The mic port should be on it. The port on the 760 itself is strictly for output.

I don't see anything in the manual that indicates that that model supports an external microphone, but it shown on the accessory page so I guess it does.
But I agree with Keith. If it has a mic jack, it will likely be on the cradle and definitely will be separate from the audio jack.
One is an output and the other is an input and they are typically different sizes.

Yeah, I'm sure you are correct in your assessment of that picture. It's odd that there's no reference to it.
Externial Mic jack
On the 660 the mic jack it is on the craddle that the gps clips to.

Was this one directed at me. I was just stating where it was onj the 660 and that it wuld most likley be the same place on other units.
