I downloaded different audio alarms and icons for when I set off a prozimity alert. How do I change the default announcement with the Nuvi?

You don't.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
I own a Nuvi 350
I own a Nuvi 350. Are you telling me the custom features are only available on the 650?
Thanks, Dave
No
Many are available on the 350. Once you properly install custom poi's and sound files (mp3's) you will here the mp3 file you supplied.
That said, I am not certain that the 'default' sound will go away. Someone else with a 350 will have to answer that.

Model doesn't matter.

Model doesn't matter. Default audio proximity alerts can't be changed -- they are embedded in the software. If you really meant that you want to change from the default sound to a custom sound, you merely have to put an mp3 file named the same as the csv/gpx file (except for the extension) in the same folder as the POI file. POI Loader will do the rest.
