American Legion

Still seeking A.L. Post poi's. Thanks all for the states submitted. I have searched the national web sites, but find few sources. Please keep em coming if available.

National Post Locator

Have you checked out http://www.legion.org/members/locators/posts ? Almost all states are covered, and you only need to choose the state to get all the posts in that state.

Iowa

I live in Iowa and have been trying to get a list with address from our State Headquarters for several years not. I can get a list but less than 15% of them have an address listed. I find it hard to believe that there is not a data base available that they could not send us. I will send them another email and see what I can come up with.

I know it is just the Post number and location, but using google search and satellite and street view you may be able to get a visual.
I ran into the same type of challenge doing the Royal Canadian Legion files, all I had for Saskatchewan was the membership list, as Sask Command doesn't even list the branches on their web site. Hope this help and good luck.

You know ...

You guys know that there is both a csv and a gpx file, correct?
csv= http://www.poi-factory.com/node/21753
gpx= http://www.poi-factory.com/node/21757

I've been there numerous times with both paper lists as well as web lists. Some posts have always just listed P.O. boxes. At first I didn't include them but in the final files that I updated in July of last year I decided to list them anyway with a comment.

I haven't been around here much lately, but if you have additions or corrections (or you'd like to take over maintenance of the files) you can send me a PM.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.
