If this is posted twice today by me I ask for forgiveness as it was a senior moment
When a new post is shown would it be possible for the replies to be posted by newest one first and oldest last. This would make it easier when reading so you wouldn't have to go through 2, 3, or 4, pages befoore betting to the lasted reply. I can see some reason for the way it is now as you can read each post as it was posted but after a few days it is kind of redundant to read the same replies in order to get to the new ones. Before everyone gets mad at me I am not complaining about the site, I am just curious that's all. This is one of the best for info and help.

The main advantage of the

The main advantage of the way it is done now is that this is the proper order for the archives. While your immediate needs would love to have new replies top posted, for the archive and all the people who come and read them later on, it makes more sense to have them shown top=first to bottom=later replies.

Just click Unread Posts

If you click Unread Posts, it lists the topics that have unread messages in them.

If you click the topic heading while in the Unread Posts listing, it takes you to the last position in that discussion that you last read. Then you can continue chronologically where you left off.

Unread Messages

Johnc, thanks see you never to old to learn something new I was not aware of that step. Now I know then it makes sense for the way it is. See you only find out if you ask.

John, make sure you set your preferences at the top of the Unread Posts page -- that way you won't even see the forums in which you have no interest, and lists your favorite forums first.
