Line Breaks

I have a NUVI 350, and when trying to create line breaks, placing br with the chicken beeks where I want the break at, the NUVI reads it as text when going by the place or selecting it as a destination.
The line breaks where I want, but how do I get around the NUVI reading it as text?

The nuvi 350/360 has a Custom POI linebreak display problem as it requires
in place of the standard linebreaks. There are several threads in this forum that refer to this issue, including when we found this problem about a year ago. You can use http://PoiVerifier.com to convert from standard linebreaks to
.

What are you entering where you want the linebreak; and what does the nuvi350 display?

line breaks

I'm entering the towns in the c coloum, and entering the br with arrows, the display is correct, but when i get close to the poi, it reads it as wal-mart br Rolla

Field 4

The
only works in field 4 (D), not field 3 (C). The link rkf mentioned refers to column D only.

line breaks

Is there a way to get the town to show up, but not be read in column c, I like having the town there, so that when you go to custom pois and hit wal-mart, it gives a list with what town they're in before you click on each one to see the address, but due to display limits on the NUVI, it will read it for example "wal-mart sprig" as there is not enough room for all letters of the town to show up in the display, so I suppose it only reads what is displayed. Is there a way to display, but not read?

Abbreviate

Assumming you put the Wal-mart POIs in a Wal-mart sub-folder on your computer before uploading to the GPS with POI Loader, you already have a category named Wal-mart on your GPS. You could then abbreviate field 3; i.e.
WM-Springfield
The display seems to allow approximate 22 characters (depending on character size) ... this should be long enough for most town names.
