nuvi 660 memory card

i just got a nuvi 660 it seems to have everyting in the world alredy in it only problem with it is that external memorycard seems only to be for pictures ????? who needs pictures in the car but i have the internal memory full with mp3s

My SD card will hold POI's, MP3s, and pictures. For MP3s and Pictures, I merely plug my 660 into the computer, bring up "MYCOMPUTER", select SD drive, and drag any file I want into it. Once I unplug the 660 and boot it up, it recognizes the MP3s and pictures in the SD area.
For POIs, I use the POI Loader. When it searches for drives, I allow it to finish and then select the SD drive. Then it loads my POIs there as well.

Nuvii 660 memory Card
Go into my computer - it should recognize the SD Card - I use multiple cards so I name it based on its size - make a directory at the root called MP3 if you do not see one - then move or transfer the the songs from the internal memory to the card.
I believe their is about 760MBs of internal memory.

After you connect your gps unit to the pc, go to my computer find your gps unit, right click and select properties. You should be able to see how much "space" you have "used" and "free".

Internal memory
If the unit has the same capacity as the Nüvi 350 then it has 2GB internal, and as tomstack has states it ships with approx 760MB free. The rest is taken up by the map, voices, sample mp3's, audio books, etc.
