What it's supposed to fix...

Changes from version 2.10 to version 2.20:

  • Enhanced traffic presentation.
  • Added support for Afrikaans text language
  • Updated some text translations
  • Fixed bug with routing around closed entry ramps
  • Fixed issue causing incorrect rounding in the Currency Converter
  • Fixed bug that could cause the unit to hang during some searches
  • Fixed issue causing time on the Trip Information Page to be skewed
  • Fixed issue with not being able to select French Sebastian TTS voice
  • Fixed issue that could cause any traffic delay to be represented as a 1 minute delay
  • Fixed issue that could potentially display a blank page when creating a new MP3 playlist
  • Fixed occasional issue with address selection causing the review address page to not display.

------
I need that support for Afrikaans.... smile

nuvi 750 update

Don't forget to "reset" your device after the upgrade. Mine lost the TTS and a few other oddities before the reset was done.

I noticed the other day that a couple of the display units played video. And, they seemed to be working units. Curious.

No more then someone trying to input an address while driving and wrecking. I would love to have video so when I am at the airport I can watch it. Heck, put in a TV antenna to boot...lol.

I have 6 in the car, but only use 5 of them...

1) GPSr
2) RD
3) CB
4) Electronic Inverter
5) Portable cooler

That is for rentals. In my own car, I have the CB and RD hardwired in.

I read somewhere where they "cracked the code on a Magellan and could play video. Heck we have to agree to there disclaimer every time it turns on. Besides if your watching video your not watching a hottie in a convertible!

Viewing video

You are kidding right? Are you a lawyer? To place the blame on the product and not the user is irresponsible. That is like saying driving drunk and the accidents it causes is the fault of the alcohol and its makers. Irresponsible people blame everything or everyone but themselves for their faults. So if Garmin is viewing this, PLEASE ADD VIDEO PLAYBACK ON YOUR GPS UNITS. But only if you want to drastically increase sales! Because I am responsible (and smart), I will never view movies behind the wheel. Take care and drive smart!
