Rubic Cube

Does anyone remember the Rubic's Cube, and how many solved it?
I still have three of them and can't remember ever completing one.

Yes, and nope

I've had a few over the years. Never solved one. I just can't concentrate long enough to be able to do it I supposed, get bored and or frustrated and give up.

Wordle

I'll stick with my daily Wordle razz

I've had one but didn't have

I've had one but didn't have the patients or know-how to solve. Gave to my brother and he solved it. I mess it up - he fixes it.

Cube

My older son was the one to always solve one or fix one that one of use couldn't finish.

I knew an engineer when I was working

He could solve it in 5 minutes or less. Very intelligent guy.

Have One

I have one, but only solved it by following a book. Got it out for the grandkids and let them play with it. they like the colors. Still have the book it I need to put it back to "solved" position.

Like MikeG1...

Like MikeG1, I could never get anywhere with them myself without help, but with a step-by-step solution, I could follow along and get there.

There are many YouTube videos that will show you how to solve a Rubik's Cube step-by-step. Here's one good one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7-0GYMCwyQ

After solving it once following along with the video (you have to pause the video to do each step he demonstrates), you'll likely still struggle to solve it on your own. The people who can pick up a Cube and solve it quickly have studied and practiced a lot! At least the video will help you see it is solvable, no matter how messed up your Cube might seem right now. (The solution videos and books will get it solved no matter what the Cube's starting position is.)

Now look what you have done

Now look what you have done!
I want to go find my kids old Cube and try to solve it. I never spent much time on it.
Thanks, Mary

In it's original condition. All colors are lined up and it wasn't me who did that!

I solved mine the easy way. I took it apart.

And me..

I used to find rhem then pop 6 of the squares off and relocate them to other places on the cube.. then left the cube lying around and watched how frustrated they'd get trying to solve it

Never argue with a pig. It makes you look foolish and it anoys the hell out of the pig!

My brother cheated.

My brother solved it. I couldn't let him outsmart me, so I figured it out also. My brother later admitted that he had read a book about how to solve it.

water gone over the dam

I haven't had my hands on a Rubix Cube in more than 50 years but at one time I was able to figure it out. I no longer have a clue about how it was done nor do I care to pick one up to fiddle with again. The Rubix Cube is in the category of water gone over the dam.

I did one better...

After I got frustrated, I bought the stickers and placed them on top. all done!!! No time to take it apart and put it back together. LOL
