i think i'm going to hold out ...

Yesterday, I updated to the iOS 16 security patch, but I think I will wait until after the launch of macOS Sonoma on Monday, then I will upgrade all eligible devices the following weekend. Any major issues with the new operating systems should be brought to light and/or fixed by then.
