Oh, So FRUSTRATING . . .

. . . having to navigate without my trusty GPS because the rental car has only a single 12-volt lighter power outlet--all the way back in the cargo area!!! Plenty of USB connections, but caught me totally unprepared. Grr-r-r-r!!!

September 1 already? It seems like we just had spring yesterday! It's odd how when your retired and don't have to get up and go every day, the clock seems to speed up! My aching, aging body is not looking forward to winter. I find that each year I dread the onset of winter more than I did the year before.

Oh well, the clock keeps on spinning ... will be spring again soon enough smile

when we thought AC was done for the season, or hoping it to be so, looks like it will be on for a solid week now.

Just turned it on Sun AM, and it will likely be on through next Sat, likely going off before sleeping. Nuts.

Funny how important AC is today. As a kid, my parents had central AC, and never turned it on. Perhaps someone knows why. I read a book of a US Senator and he said the very same thing, parents had central AC yet never used it. Maybe electricity was disproportionately expensive? I think that it is not the case today (out the door like for us is $0.13713/kWh, plus $10.52/mo fixed cost--this is a game as I've seen people post theirs in SC is only 5 cents per kWh then they have some $30+/mo cost).
