One other issue can be if

One other issue can be if you're using UBlock Origin. It took a couple of tries of me posting to discover that UBlock Origin was the culprit. So I disabled UBlock Origin for this site.

I have ublock origin in firefox with the following filters enabled.

No issues posting. In fact, I checked the custom filter exclusions (My filters in ublock options). Nothing defined in there for poi-f.

Strange. On some sites - mostly banks, I did have to add some additional entries to third party cookie exclusions as all third party cookies are blocked by default.

Trust me. Based upon my setup, disabling UBlock Origin for poi-factory was far less time consuming. The alternative would have been to check all 120,000+ UBlock filters - not including the cosmetic filters - I have enabled, and then check every single one of the 35,000+ lines of my computer's HOSTS file.

Before anyone asks, I have a reason for this setup and it's all due to Google changing its APIs to nerf ad blockers.

^^Ublockorigin has a logging

^^Ublockorigin has a logging function. When I run into challenging sites, I enable that to see exactly what's getting blocked. It even allows creating exceptions right from that screen.

35K hosts lines!?@# Wow. I thought that was the purpose of these adblockers so one didn't have to mess with that file any more. Granted, hosts is system wide, but still.

I never bothered with UBlock

I never bothered with UBlock Origin's logging. Out of all the sites I regularly visit, POI-Factory is only the 8th site to hit my trusted sites list.

Now, regarding the HOSTS file, if you're using Google Chrome or a Chromium-based browser that either hasn't reverted the change or uses its own system, Manifest V3 is going to ruin your day.

I'll just point you to the following article, which goes into more detail. https://www.xda-developers.com/google-chrome-manifest-v3-ad-...

So with Manifest V3 either coming into play or already in play, the total number of sites a ad blocker can store in an extension will be substantially reduced. With a HOSTS file in play, Google can be total asshats while you enjoy an ad-free Internet.

Not quite the same

Whenever I type up something on my iPad when I’m finished I have to reread the whole thing because the damn spellcheck will change things nilly willy.
For instance I was telling a friend about using the Ookla speed test. By the time I was done the spellcheck changed Ookla to Oklahoma and nilly willy to silly billy. Grrrrrrrr!

But that is our new and improved artificial intelligence.
