it's like the holidays were an eternity ago.
and work activity went faster to 60 than a 2022 Corvette.
One thing I finally say I'm going to do differently, I'm going to use my time off if it's the last thing I do. No more forfeiting it because it's not possible to get away, no more! lol (wait til 12/22 when nothing changed)
When the joking stops it's a bit heartbreaking to put a payroll value on it, painful to think about it. Part of the blame is the system and how we're rewarded when we're hard working to include 24/7 time away from family, etc. Like it's unspoken if you're not willing, you're not a company man/woman and labeled as such

I work in construction, it's almost a seasonal job getting a couple months off in the winter so I'd work the season and take my earned time off pay at the end of the season in my final pay, since I had off for those couple of months. As I've gotten older though, I sprinkle my days off throughout the season using them for doctors appointments, fun fun fun.
