Log in required every time

For the last 2 weeks every time i log in to POIfactory I have to enter my log in info which is slightly annoying.
Though I suspect that the reason may be that now and for the next 5 months my ISP is a Mexican ISP. Using a VPN would take longer to use so Ive ruled that out.
Other than logging in every time is there another solution?

Well..

If you're clearing the cache and cookies from your browser to be safe.. I can imagine that could be the crusxt of what you're experiencing.

Perhaps Jon will pop in and give a significantly better explanation.

It's the cookies. My laptop

It's the cookies. My laptop does that every now and then.

No problem here

I auto-clear the cookies every time the browser shuts down, and I shut down the browser every time I go to another website.
Firefox manages to put the login info in every time. No problem.

I never get lost, but I do explore new territory every now and then.

Thanks

But now and for the next 5 months “No laptop” I have to live with my iPhone and have no idea how to clear any cookies or a cache.

Clearing the cache

You probably clear the cache on an iPhone much like a iPad. Go to Settings, on the left panel scroll down to the browser (likely Safari) and then on the right side scroll down to Clear history and other website data..

But be aware, you will need to log in to every place where you normally need log in credentials until the cache is repopulated. That can be a PITA.

Wouldn't it be easier to just use incognito mode between sites? I will never log into facebook in a nonincognito window/browser. Way too much spam.

Thanks for that clear info, I found my way to it, I never knew it was there. I’ll try it tomorrow to see if that will work and I’d be hoping my User ID and fingerprint might log me back in.

Right now its just a nuisance since I have to select my user name and use my fingerprint to log on. Oddly enough this does not happen with my CC website or my Banking website at home, only with POIfactory and one other Forum website.

Using a VPN would take a heck of a lot longer to set up each time. I only use the VPN to hide my Mexican ISP for certain things.

Strangely enough this had never happened in years past.

I think..

I have to re login on occasion, never figured out if there was some sort of time element but it happens on both my Mac and Windows computers. I just blamed it on the cookies expiring and was coded into the login page.
But.. everyday seems odd. Some security setting someplace to never save passwords for this site???

Thanks John from PA

Followed your suggestion and it seems to have done the trick. Even better, something remembered my log in name and then the fingerprint also worked to log me in. Tried a few times switching websites back and forth.

.

I don't clear my cache but I'm logged out once a week. I'm good for 7 days but on day 8 I have to log in on my PC. Always been this way and only for this forum. Figured it was their service.

Does not happen for any other site. Weird. You're not alone.
